Home Language Policy

Here at Carousel of Learningwe make every effort to communicate with children and families whose primary language is not English. Parents are asked to share words in their home language with their child’s teacher to help make their child feel more comfortable in the classroom. Teachers will attempt to label some of the classroom materials in the Home Language of the students. Parents are also encouraged to share books or other materials in their home language with the class. Non-English speaking parents are encouraged to bring with them someone who can help interpret and translate questions, concerns, and documents.
